Van Bavel – Llano House

The project is a second home project with planning and programming to take advantage of growing into a spectacular site with sweeping views of the Hill Country. Orientation to natural ventilation, siting for a second floor to best view Enchanted Rock and allowing for a future studio are all part of the program.
Sustainable features: 2x6 framing for increased wall insulation, a south-facing porch with a full overhang to shade the windows while allowing the breeze, Low-E windows, a Radiant Barrier Attic Space, Existing trees retained to supplement shading from eaves,
