The project uses modular building components in the Administration Building
in an attempt to control costs and maintain construction quality on a
tight completion schedule for a growing religious community. The Education
Building was stick framed in locally assembled steel joists and metal
studs. The two projects should reach a 3-star rating under the City of
Austin Green Building Program.
Sustainable features: White standing seam metal roofing to reduce cooling
load and enhance future rainwater collection, Stained Concrete Floors,
Low-E glazing, Efficiently sized HVAC system insulated ducts, Existing
trees retained to supplement shading from eaves to complete a xeriscaped
